The Grubs Spring 2009 started with such promise but ended mercifully after a disastrous day of Rugby. More Grubs abandoned the team in the last 3 weeks than those brave 13 who decided to make the trip and honor our schedule. With as many as 5 WhiteRiver subs playing and nothing to play for the Grubs were trounced. The only positives were that the 12 who traveled took it like men, finished our season that everyone committed to, and we got to make a donation to Brandon Garner (the paralyzed WhiteRiver wing).

An injury was sustained by Eric Kloeker who broke his collar bone.
Man of the match was Jeff Marshall as chosen by WhiteRiver. And the Grubs recognized Jeff Beck (T-REX) for never quitting.
